About Thriving

Welcome to Thriving Off the Grid LLC. I, Wendy, have lived on and off "the grid" for the last 25 years. My family and I worked in Papua New Guinea (a small country on a large island in the South Pacific). At times we are living in a place that has roads, telephones, power lines and city water, but our main work allocation has none of these things. So, we have learned how to live life without the city providing such things and have set up our own. At first it was hard, and the word "thriving" was definitely not on our minds! But, as we learned more about solar power and water collection, etc. and creative ways to use these, the easier life became "way out there" -- even with our two children.

Whether you are interested in trying to live off the grid, just started, living partially off grid, or have been doing this for years, our hope is, through this website, to help you not only survive in your efforts but to truly thrive. It is possible!
